Frequently asked questions

Where do my files go?

Formwork is a native macOS app, so your documents are read on your Mac. When you ask the co-designer for something, only the material you attached goes to the AI provider you connected, under your own account. Export runs on this machine. Nothing is uploaded.

Can I still edit the deck in PowerPoint afterwards?

Yes. Export produces a .pptx with editable text, charts and tables, not flattened images. There is also PDF (vector) and PNG when you need a fixed version to send.

Do I need a separate AI subscription for this?

No. Formwork runs on the AI plan or API key you already have. It currently supports Claude (Sonnet 5, Opus, Haiku), OpenAI (GPT-5.6) and Kimi for Code.

Will it restyle the slides I already made?

No. The Brand Source guides new slides; existing slides remain unchanged. Pages you have finished stay exactly as you left them.

What files can I bring in?

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF. When you place a selected Excel range on a slide, that range stays linked to the slide, so the numbers on the page come from the range you chose.

How do I get access, and what does it cost?

Formwork is in early access. Request access with a work email and we will get in touch. Pricing has not been announced yet.
